THE ANDROMEDA STRAIN is written by Michael Crichton and first published by Arrow Books in the year 1993. Its a very famous book based on a superb imagination of a scientific crisis, specific to the branch of bio-physics.Just to unnecessarily recount the famous work of the author, he has written Jurassic Park, Congo, Airframe, Prey, Sphere, The great train Robbery; most of which has been produced as motion pictures. He is also the creator of TV serial ER. He is a most famous scientific and fantasy novel writer, whose imagination has no bound. Still his creation dangles on a fine line of fact and fiction that keeps the reader guessing about the authenticity of his stories.
The Andromeda strain as introduced by the author as based on a major American crisis involving five prominent biophysicists. This crisis is about a major breakdown of an epidemic that tells a whole village due to a supposed spread of microbes from outer space, brought on by a government scientific study satellite back to earth. This full novel is based on these five person struggle to unravel the mystery behind this unexplainable catastrophe. In this event they had to keep their and the whole planets future in jeopardy, with a possible nuclear and biological detonations.
This book is just another fabulous collection by the author as his all other famous works. Of course unlike most of the other book this book is more towards fiction than relying to facts. However, his imagination is an excellent base for agencies to take lead on the kind of studies they can do on extra-terrestrial problems that can affect human kind in future. Again an appreciative remark by New York Times and the Library Journal proves the book is up to the classy style and quality that's the hallmark of Michael Crichton Novels.
